Last national election, the city was torn between Ping Lacson who happens to be also a Caviteño and the two other candidates.

Mayor Jun Sagun is now planning to run a Governatorial race at the province.
Mayor Sagun is now on it's last term same with Gov. Maliksi.

TRECE MARTIREZ CITY Safety and Joggers Lane

The local goverment of Trece Martirez City launched this project mid this year to give their constituents a safety lane.

Safety Lane and Jogger's Lane is very helpful for the people who walked around the city.

Going back and forth to this lane gives you around 500 meters starting from the City Hall up to the Brgy. Gregorio (Alyang).

This is another project of Mayor Jun Sagun.

VILORIA-IRIBE fight ( TRECE MARTIREZ will support VILORIA )

IBF light-flyweight champion Brian "Hawaiian Punch" Viloria will face the challenger from Mexico Jesus Iribe on August 30 Sunday.

The fight will be at the Honululu Hawaii.

TRECE MARTIREZ CITY will watch MAYWEATHER VS MARQUEZ fight

The Treceños are hopeful that the local government will sponsored a FREE live stream for the MAYWEATHER-MARQUEZ fight to be aired on SEPT.20 (local time) at the MGM Arena.

Local government are very known supportive to boxing event.

For the past few fights of Pacquiao, the local officials are sponsoring LIVE Streaming via internet held at the city hall.

PBA will play at TRECE MARTIREZ CITY

With upcoming season of PBA - Philippine Basketball Association, the management and commissioners office is looking for the the possibility that the PBA teams will play at TRECE MARTIREZ CITY.

The newly renovated AYONG S. MALIKSI Gymnasium located at Trece Martirez can accomodate thousands of fans if there will be a PBA game on the said venue. The gym is fully air-conditioned with high technology equipment.

The PBL finals last year launched their 1st game of the series at the said gym

Having an exhibition game or a regular season game would be a nice offer to the TRECEÑO.

Trece Martirez City College (TMCC)

A Government owned college located at the heart of the City.

This school was founded only this year 2009, and as their initial offering they have 3 courses to choose from.

BS Education Major in Primary Education
BS Education Major in Special Education
BS Hotel and Restaurant Management

The school was not so big but it's enough to cover and accomodate the hundreds of students who enrolled this year.

The school was administered also by the local goverment staff. The taxes and duties by the Treceño is helping the school to be more competitive.

There are 3 colleges running at the city as of this year. The Amore Academy, Cavite State U and the Trece Martirez City Colleges ( TMCC )

St. Jude is the Patron saint of Trece Martirez City. This is not related with the name of City 13 Martyrs in which the number 13 is always connected with JUDAS number, or in tagalog is the 13 Hudas.

The patron of Trece Martirez City, Saint Jude Thadeus, will be celebrating it's Golden Anniversary by next year, January 25, 2010.

Everybody is inviting to share their stories behind this 50 years.
